For Individual Homeowners
Lawn care services built around your schedule and your property.
Understanding Your Options as a Homeowner
Residential lawn maintenance involves a set of recurring decisions. How often should the lawn be mowed? Is edging something to do every visit or occasionally? When does leaf removal become necessary? What does a seasonal cleanup actually include?
These are reasonable questions without universal answers. Grass grows at different rates depending on species, season, and rainfall. A yard with mature trees drops leaves differently than one with minimal canopy. Property size affects how long each task takes and what a reasonable per-visit rate looks like.
This page explains each service we offer, how it fits into a typical maintenance schedule, and what to consider when deciding between recurring and one-time service.
Lawn Mowing
Mowing is the foundation of residential lawn care. Done at the right frequency and height, it keeps grass healthy and visually consistent. Done too infrequently, grass becomes difficult to cut without stressing the lawn.
For most Atlanta-area lawns, mowing every one to two weeks during the growing season is appropriate. Warm-season grasses like Bermuda and Zoysia grow actively through summer and slow significantly in winter. Cool-season grasses follow a different rhythm. We adjust mowing height based on what's appropriate for the season and grass type.
Each mowing visit includes clearing clippings from driveways, walkways, and other hard surfaces. Leaving clippings on pavement is one of those small details that separates a thorough service from a quick one.
Edging
Edging creates a defined line between the lawn and adjacent surfaces. Driveways, sidewalks, garden beds, and fence lines all benefit from a clean edge. Without it, grass gradually creeps over boundaries and the yard takes on an unkempt appearance even when mowed regularly.
There are two common approaches. Rotary edging uses a spinning blade to cut a vertical line along hard surfaces. String trimmer edging handles irregular or curved boundaries. We use both depending on what the area requires.
Edging every visit is standard practice for maintaining clean lines. Some homeowners with slower-growing grass choose to edge every other visit. We can discuss what makes sense for your specific property.
Leaf Removal
Leaf removal is a seasonal task that becomes important in fall and early winter. A light layer of leaves is not immediately harmful, but dense accumulation blocks sunlight and traps moisture against the grass. Over time this creates conditions that weaken turf.
In Atlanta, most deciduous trees drop leaves from October through December. Properties with heavy tree coverage may need leaf removal multiple times during this period. Properties with minimal tree coverage may only need one or two visits.
We remove leaves from lawn areas and clear them from hard surfaces. Leaves are blown or raked to a collection point for removal. We do not simply blow leaves to the property edge and leave them to re-enter the lawn.
Seasonal Cleanup
Seasonal cleanup addresses the accumulated debris, dead plant material, and general disorder that builds up at the end of a season. Spring cleanup prepares the yard for the growing season. Fall cleanup closes it out.
A spring cleanup typically involves removing winter debris, clearing dead plant material from beds, and preparing surfaces for the season ahead. A fall cleanup focuses on leaf removal, cutting back spent vegetation, and clearing debris before winter.
Seasonal cleanups are often booked as one-time visits outside of a regular maintenance schedule. They can also be added to an existing recurring service plan. The scope varies by property size and condition, which is why we discuss specifics before confirming a visit.
Recurring Service vs. One-Time Visits
Both options are available at flat per-visit rates. Understanding the trade-offs helps you decide what fits your situation.
Recurring Service
Scheduled visits on a weekly or biweekly basis throughout the season. Works well for homeowners who want consistent maintenance without tracking when service is due. The lawn stays in steady condition because it is addressed before it gets overgrown.
Recurring service is easier to plan around. You know when crews will be on the property. Scheduling is handled in advance and visits happen without requiring you to initiate each one.
- Weekly or biweekly frequency options
- Consistent condition throughout season
- No need to initiate each visit
- Same crew each visit for familiarity
One-Time Visits
A single visit for a specific need. Pre-event cleanup before a gathering, post-storm debris removal, or catching up after an extended period away. Booked as needed with no ongoing commitment.
One-time visits are appropriate when the need is specific rather than ongoing. They are also a reasonable way to try the service before committing to a recurring schedule.
- No ongoing commitment required
- Flexible timing based on your need
- Same flat per-visit rate as recurring
- Suitable for occasional or seasonal needs
